Please join us to learn about California’s 2018 state rail plan and how Midwestern states could emulate it.

California has driven passenger rail innovation ever since California voters approved the Passenger Rail Bond Act in 1990.  The progress has included expanded Amtrak service, new commuter rail, and several innovative feeder lines.  It is the first state to start construction of a new high-speed line.

The 2018 state rail plan builds upon this foundation to create an integrated, statewide network linking much of the state with high-frequency service, timed-connections and a common fare system by 2040.

Our keynote speaker, Chad Edison, Deputy Secretary for Transportation, has overseen the creation of this innovative plan.  He will outline its features and projected results.
