CAHSRA Adopts Business Plan
Today, March 25th, the California High-Speed Rail Authority has approved their Revised 2020 Business Plan. This document details how the Authority plans to move the Los Angeles to San Francisco high-speed line forward. This includes committing to completing construction in the Central Valley, setting a timetable to get the first high-speed trains in operation and executing the planning and design work for the bookend projects in Northern and Southern California.
Now that the Authority has approved their plan, it’s time for the CA Legislature to commit as well. The Authority will submit the final plan for approval to the Legislature on or before April 15 By approving the voter approved Prop 1A bond funds, the legislature can show their commitment to expediting high-speed rail in CA and extend their leadership towards securing federal funds for the project.
We would also like to thank the individual supporters, organizations, elected officials and agencies that have expressed their support for California High-Speed Rail. If you would like to express your support as well you can sign the petition here or add your organization's name to our supporters list.
